Build Buddies

Build Buddies was a short YouTube series I created with my friend Kai. The goal was to create a closed-loop evaporative cooling immersion case on a small scale. The idea was to immerse a small computer in 3M Novec fluid and house it so that none of the vapor could escape but rather be cooled, condense, and fall back into the reservoir. This first prototype of the computer failed because the old plexiglass we used for the sides would crack around the screws holding it down, although we were able to achieve stable temperatures when we filled the case with fluid. We documented the entire process of building and testing this case on YouTube. We plan on eventually revisiting this project but for now it rests as a proof of concept.
